Features

KIDC, in cooperation with KOICA, implements overseas volunteer programs focused on climate and environment as well as social sectors. Through community-based climate action, partnerships with local NGOs, and expanded youth participation, 

the program contributes to strengthening climate resilience and addressing social inequality in developing countries.

2025-2027 KOICA-NGO Overseas Volunteer Dispatch Program(Climate Environment)

This program aims to contribute to reducing the global climate gap and strengthening resilience through a community-based action-oriented climate model, volunteer-centered climate education, environmental awareness improvement, and linkage with community-participatory activities.

Our key Project

- Dispatch Countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Uzbekistan 

- Promote awareness of response measures among local communities through     

  climate change adaptation activities 

- Contribute to reducing the global climate gap through climate change mitigation 

  activities

2024-2026 KOICA-NGO Overseas Volunteer Dispatch Program(Climate Environment)

This project is implemented based on partnerships with local NGOs and aims to generate outcomes across various sectors, including enhancing the performance of KOICA’s global talent development initiatives, strengthening achievements in the climate and environment sector, and contributing to partnerships under SDG 17.

Our key Project

- Dispatch Countries: Mongolia, Uzbekistan, and Tanzania

- Identify local NGO needs in the climate and environment sector and establish 

  collaboration strategies

- Recruit and select qualified volunteers and strengthen their capacities

- Provide post-return support for returned volunteers

2024-2026 World Friends Korea Youth Volunteer (Social)

This is a program that nurtures digital talents and contributes to solving social problems in partner countries, which are having difficulties 

in implementing support for the socially disadvantaged, safety net, and respect for human rights and gender diversity through online volunteering for the youth of vulnerable groups in partner countries.

Our key Project

- Dispatch Countries: Morocco, Bolivia, Sri Lanka, and Uzbekistan

- Consider strategic approaches under the “Social” pillar of ESG and select 

  adolescents and youth as primary beneficiaries

- Address social issues across communities, including inequality 

- Contribute to reducing inequality and strengthening resilience by providing 

  quality physical, emotional, and global citizenship education
