President's Greetings
Welcome to the KIDC website.
Korea's grant aid for today's needy neighbors in the global village has been in full swing since 1991. The scale of our grant aid is rapidly expanding from tens of billions of won at the time to about 1.5 trillion won in 2020.
Currently, domestic aid agencies desperately need the cooperation of domestic private specialized agencies to systematically approach, scientifically conduct, and create tangible results for expanding aid projects.
Accordingly, in order to keep pace with the expansion of Korean grant aid and provide systematic support, KIDC was established as a specialized grant aid support organization in 2010. It is greatly expanded to include overseas volunteer group recruitment and education, activity management, volunteer group evaluation and performance measurement.
Despite the short history of the institution, KIDC is proud to play an important role in the domestic aid ecosystem as a harmonious combination of first-generation aid workers with experience in aid implementation and a new generation of aid workers who are keen on the development issues of the international aid community.
KIDC provides a customized total service for the overall ODA project, including support for establishing country programs for recipient countries in the bilateral cooperation grant sector, project discovery and management, public-private partnership projects, ODA education, support for youth intern dispatch projects, and evaluation of overseas volunteer groups, etc.
Going forward, KIDC intends to become a vital force in Korea's grant aid projects that aim for win-win prosperity with recipient countries through continuous efforts to carry out projects centered on performance, rich business experience, and domestic and foreign experts in each aid field.
Thank you.
